Gary-Ebel-ImageGary L. Ebel is our co-founder and has served as Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the board of directors of our general partner since November 2014 and has served as Chief Executive Officer of Buckhorn Energy Services since June 2011.

Mr. Ebel has over 20 years of oil field services and water treatment experience. Previously, Mr. Ebel ran his own company GLE Resources, LLC that worked with private investors to develop saltwater injection facilities in North Dakota, Colorado and Utah. In addition, he has also acted as Vice President of Professional Services for Qwest Cyber Solutions, LLC, a division of a Fortune 500 company, and as a Senior Vice President of North American Operations for Ciber, Inc., an information technology consulting company where his primary focus was on crude oil and natural gas industry. Mr. Ebel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Psychology from Dakota Wesleyan University and later served as the Vice-Chairman of the Board for the University. 

Rick-Lawler-ImageMr. Lawler joined Buckhorn Energy as Chief Financial Officer in February 2017. Formerly he was the Chief Financial Officer of Summit Utilities, Inc., a natural gas distribution system operator and pipeline construction company. Before Summit, Mr. Lawler served as the Chief Financial Officer of WRC Corporation, an integrated land management and engineering consulting company serving the natural gas pipeline, electric power and transportation industries. Prior to joining WRC, Mr. Lawler provided consulting services to a broad range of companies in the energy industry, performing financial management roles, including infrastructure development, strategy implementation, and control environment establishment. Early in his career, he was employed in financial and operations management positions within Energy-focused companies ranging from start-ups to multi-billion dollar domestic and international divisions. He earned an MBA from Oklahoma City University in 1994 and a BA in Accounting and Political Science from Texas State University in 1978. Mr. Lawler is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Global Management Accountant.
Jimmy-Berry-ImageJimmy Berry joined Buckhorn Energy Services in 2014 as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions. In this role, Jimmy is focused on growth opportunities including transaction origination and execution to support the Company’s strategic goals. Jimmy brings more than eight years of energy-related corporate finance experience.
Prior to joining Buckhorn, Jimmy spent the last five years in investment banking working for GulfStar Group, where he served as a Vice President. Jimmy’s transaction experience included equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory assignments to middle market companies. Jimmy began his career in New York, working for Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. as an equity research associate covering the power and utilities industry, and Sabin Commodities, working on the trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Berry received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Business Foundations Certification from The University of Texas at Austin.
